LANTZ WELCH

 

        Mr. Welch was born and educated in Kansas City, Missouri.  He received his A.B. Degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia in 1957 and his J.D. from the University of Missouri at Kansas City in 1959.

        He specializes in personal injury trial practice in the areas of automobile, product liability and malpractice lawsuits.  All of his trial work is on behalf of the plaintiff.

        His activities include lecture and seminar work throughout the country on the subject of “Trial Practice” for the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the American Bar Association, The Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys, The Missouri Bar and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association.

        He is past President and a Lifetime Trustee of the Law Foundation of the School of Law, University of Missouri at Kansas City; recipient of the 1987 Alumni Achievement Award from University of Missouri at Kansas City; past President of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association; recipient of the Tenth Annual Litigator Emeritus Award from the K.C.M.B.A.; recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the K.C.M.B.A. and past President of the Kansas City Bar Foundation.

        He is a member of the Inner Circle of Advocates and a Fellow in the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has been listed in the book entitled, “The Best Lawyers in America” since its inception in 1983.

        He has tried over 200 jury cases to verdict, 3 were world records.  He did not lose a case for 28 years.
